Good support depends on your workers understanding what matters to you. Share the information that helps them support you in the way you prefer.

01

Worth telling your team

  • Your goals and what matters most to you
  • How you prefer to communicate
  • Your routines and personal preferences
  • Things you enjoy, and things you would rather avoid
  • Cultural, religious or identity considerations
  • Changes to your health, medication or safety that affect your support
  • What is working well and what is not
02

What you can expect from your workers

Workers should respect your privacy, communicate clearly, follow the support arrangements agreed with you, and support you to make your own decisions rather than making them for you.

03

If something is not working

You can raise a concern about a worker, ask to talk about your support team or request a review of a worker match. You do not need to wait for a serious problem before speaking up.

Speaking up will not affect your supports

Asking for a review, giving feedback or requesting a different worker will not be used against you.
