How SCL Matches Support Workers
Why matching is about more than who happens to be available.
Easy to use.
Read it on screen, print it, or ask us for Easy Read, large print or another language.
A good worker match should take account of the support you need as well as the way you prefer to communicate and work with people.
What we consider
- Your goals and the support you need
- Required qualifications, skills and experience
- How you communicate
- Language and cultural preferences
- Personality and shared interests where relevant
- Gender preferences where they matter to you
- Relevant health, mobility or behaviour support requirements
- Your preferred days and times
- Safety considerations relevant to the support
- Other people in a shared support environment where relevant
If the match is not right
Tell us. We can review the match with you and discuss another worker where possible.
You can ask to meet first
Where practical, you can ask to meet a proposed worker before regular supports begin so you can decide whether the match feels right.
