01

What is a Plan Manager?

A registered NDIS provider that manages the financial administration of plan managed funding. Plan Managers must be registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

  • Receives provider invoices and checks funding is available
  • Checks claims relate to NDIS supports
  • Submits claims and pays providers
  • Keeps financial records
  • Provides monthly statements
  • Tells you if spending appears too fast or too slow
  • Helps build your confidence managing funding
02

What they do not usually do

  • Choose your providers or arrange your workers
  • Manage your daily support schedule
  • Decide your goals
  • Approve additional funding or change your plan
  • Make decisions for the NDIA
  • Coordinate all your services
  • Provide clinical advice
  • Guarantee an invoice will be accepted by the NDIA
03

What stays your responsibility

Having a Plan Manager does not remove your responsibilities. You still choose providers, agree services and prices, confirm supports were delivered, monitor your funding, check statements, and raise anything you do not recognise.

Read your monthly statement

It should show which providers were paid, what was claimed, how much funding has been used and remains, whether spending is on track, and whether any invoice was delayed or rejected.

04

Changing Plan Managers

You can change during your plan. Read your Service Agreement, check notice requirements, identify unpaid invoices, tell your current manager, choose a new registered one, contact your my NDIS contact, and make sure records transfer correctly.

SCL Support Services

What SCL can help with

When SCL services are plan managed, we will:

  • Send invoices to your nominated Plan Manager
  • Describe the services and charges on the invoice
  • Keep records of supports delivered
  • Respond to reasonable invoice questions
  • Correct an invoice where an error is identified

Your Plan Manager manages payments. They do not manage SCL service delivery — contact us directly about workers, appointments, cancellations, concerns or changes.
