Recurring Supports
Recurring Supports currently contain eligible transport funding, paid or made available on a regular basis.
Transport funding
Recurring transport is currently the only Recurring Support category.
Not available to everyone
You will only have this funding if it has been approved in your plan.

What are Recurring Supports?
One of the four support budgets that may appear in an NDIS plan. Recurring transport is currently the only category within it.
The funding may assist eligible participants who cannot travel or use public transport independently because of their disability.
What it can support
Eligible travel to and from work, study, day programs, community activities, social activities, and recreational or leisure activities.
The NDIA considers your individual circumstances and the reasonable assistance available from family, carers or community networks.
How the funding may be provided
- Paid regularly into your nominated bank account
- Claimed through the participant portal
- Managed through the my NDIS app
Your plan explains how the funding is provided and any conditions that apply.
This is not provider travel
Recurring transport funding helps with your own eligible transport needs. Provider travel is what a provider may charge when a worker travels to deliver a support, or travels with you. Those charges must be discussed and agreed before services begin.
What to check in your plan
- Whether you have Recurring Supports funding
- The amount available
- How the funding will be paid or claimed
- What it may be used for
- Whether funding periods apply
Do not use other support budgets for recurring transport unless your plan and the NDIS rules permit it.

SCL cannot decide whether recurring transport funding should be added to your NDIS plan.
