Frequently asked questions

23 answers about starting with SCL, how supports work, NDIS funding and your rights.

Is SCL a registered NDIS provider?

Yes. SCL Support Services has been a registered NDIS provider since 2018, meeting the NDIS Practice Standards and the requirements of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

What areas do you cover?

The Coffs Coast, Nambucca and Macksville, Kempsey and Port Macquarie, Yamba and Grafton, and Caboolture and the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. Brisbane is opening through 2026.

If you are just outside one of those, call us anyway — sometimes we can help, and if we cannot we will tell you who can.

Do you employ your own support workers?

Yes. We employ our support workers directly rather than sourcing them from an agency pool or a marketplace. It is the main reason we can build rosters around continuity instead of whoever is free.

What is the difference between SCL Support Services and SCL Home Care?

Two divisions of the same family-run group. Support Services is our NDIS side, generally for people under 65. Home Care is our aged care side, generally for people 65 and over.

If you are not sure which applies to you, call either number and we will work it out.

Not finding your question?

Ask us directly.

We would rather answer it properly than have you keep searching. No obligation, and no sales pitch.
