Is someone in immediate danger?
Call Triple Zero (000) for police, fire or ambulance. Do not wait to contact SCL first.
106 is the text-based emergency number for people who are Deaf or have difficulty speaking. Video Relay is not suitable for emergencies, because those calls cannot be prioritised the same way.

During an SCL support
What to do if something goes wrong while we are supporting you.
A participant becomes seriously unwell
Call 000 first. Then let us know so we can update the care plan and notify anyone who needs to know.
A support worker does not arrive
Call us on 0481 213 622. If you cannot reach us and there is an immediate safety or medical risk, use the emergency or crisis service that fits the situation.
Medication is missed or given incorrectly
For a suspected overdose or wrong medication, call the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 immediately. Then tell us so it can be recorded and reviewed.
There is an incident during a shift
Make sure everyone is safe first. Then report it to us — incidents are recorded and reviewed, and serious ones are reported to the NDIS Commission as required.
You cannot reach your usual SCL contact
Call the main line on 0481 213 622. If the situation is an immediate emergency, call 000 rather than waiting for SCL.
SCL is not an emergency service
Our phones are not monitored around the clock. In an immediate emergency, call 000 first and tell us afterwards.
